Visited this lovely gallery to specifically see the Turner exhibition. I wasn't disappointed. Wonderful.

Lovely place to visit with the family no matter what the weather is like- very comfortable space where you can store bags in the lockers down stairs next to the toilets. Interesting art work in the gallery that changes regularly and a great gift shop!! Also a space for the kids to play and additional events for the kids

A beautiful venue set in Whitworth Park. The Whitworth has a varied and dynamic programme for art lovers of all kinds, from the major Turner collection to the seminal Women In Revolt (art and activism) show.
Very helpful and friendly staff, and a lovely café.

Love this place. Cafe is good too. I visited last month as they annually host the opening ceremony for MACFEST. Photos are from that day. They have a number of exhibitions throughout the year.

Excellent art gallery. We went specifically for the JMW Turner prints and pictures exhibition, which was well laid out and very interesting.
Disabled facilities and street parking were easily accessible and we will be back another time to check out the other galleries.

The design of the building is beautiful with lots of glass and gives a light airy space overlooking parkland. We enjoyed the exhibitions and craft making with the children. Great café.

A really good art gallery, surrounded by attractive parkland.
Free to visit.
There's a changing programme of exhibitions featuring a wide range of artists, styles and mediums. (The exhibition 'Turner: Light and Shade', on show at the time of writing, is particularly impressive.)
The gallery is part of the University of Manchester, on Oxford Road a little way outside the city centre, but it's easily accessible by bus with frequent buses.
Well worth a visit.

Nice art gallery. Worth a visit. Nice cafe therein. The black forest coffee was nice-a cuppa of chocolate and coffee with a dollop of cream and a cherry on top
